Remembered Today:

Corps Squadrons and Artillery Observation

I am researching 122nd Heavy Battery with the aim of writing their history. I would like to use some artillery observation reports which specifically mentions fire control (and any other) exchanges between the 122nd and artillery observation squadrons (or indeed Kite Balloons units!), if anyone spots such specific examples I would be grateful for information/direction.

However, I would also like to research, myself, the Corps Squadrons responsible for artillery observation (of the relevant Corps at appropriate times) and I wondered if anyone has already researched the allocation of the Corps RFC/RAF Squadrons for some (or all) of the War and perhaps has a table which would help me pin things down further?

I have sorted some from The War in the Air (Jones), but this usually identifies, only, the allocation for limited periods.

Many thanks,

Alan
