Captain J Needham of the Lushai Labour Corps

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I am wanting to find out as much as I can about a certain Captain J Needham who was with Lushai Labour Corps in 1918. Can anyone help?

John Needham was admitted to the Indian Army Reserve of Officers, Second Lieutenant, on 20 April 1917 https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30267/supplement/9157

Promoted to Lieutenant 20 April 1918 https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/31032/page/13926


Edit to add: Indian Army Reserve of Officers - resigned his commission on 1 May 1922 and retained the rank of Lieutenant https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/32743/page/6387 (his name is on the 18th line of the left column). The heading and effective date is on page 6384

This looks like his death - Burials at Shillong - Feb 2 1933, Jack Needham, aged 47 years, Police Officer, cause of death - pneumonia.

The answer to the second part - as an Army Officer, at this time, he would not have had a service number.
