Are there any other examples of the "T" written like that in the document as I am reading it as Ram with an  added "c" over a "/" making it Ramc?

That, of course, could just be me seeing what I am familiar with rather than what is actually written...

I am fairly sure that it is R.A.M.C with the C inserted before the next character, but what is the next character? Should there be a character in the largish space before "discharged" which has been erased or didn't scan. Should it have been TF for Territorial Force and the F has disappeared or indeed was not written?

Which unit did the man eventually serve in?

RM

You could check pre war papers on fmp ( for example ) for the name you have in the ramc . Or even a reenlistment in ww1.
