248 field coy royal engineers

I am having difficulty finding the war diary of 248 Field Coy Royal Engineers on Ancestry. The National Archives reference is WO95/3103/2.

Ancestry say their coverage of War diaries is WO95/1096-3948 so it should be on Ancestry somewhere.

I wonder if anyone else can find it? I'd be very grateful for some help on this one.

Try entering  3103/2 in the keyword box. It tells you that its the 249 Field Coy diary but when opened it is the 248 Field Coy diary.

Edward,

Thank you very much indeed. I had been looking for quite a while without any success.

Bob,

Ah, so that was the problem. Many thanks for solving this one.

Hi Marigold 1

My Grandfather Joe Metcalfe D/S/5121 was a member of the 2nd FC of the 63rd R.N.D which became the 248 FC RE hence my avatar sapperwho.

Cheers John

Hi John,

Many thanks for sending in your connection. I don't have a personal connection to share with you, alas - I am editing and expanding the Loughborough (electronic) Roll of Honour and one of our fallen servicemen was in the 63rd RND.
