Remembered Today:

Looking for information of my great-granfather

Hello everyone,

My great-grandfather, a Vietnamese, was a soldier for France in World War I. After his death (probably in Paris in 1916), our family received the death gratuity from the French government. Although this is all the information I have, I am hoping to find the location of his grave (if there is any) or any information about him.

I summarize the information of my great-grandfather here :

Surname : Nguyen (Nguyễn, in Vietnamese)
Middle name : Duc (Đức, in Vietnamese)
First name : Lich (Lịch, in Vietnamese)
Died : Paris, 1916

I hope somebody in this forum can help me.

I am also looking for cementeries in France that conmemorated soldiers from Vietnam or Indochina. Any infomation would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

Thanks Michaelp. I knew this website and tried to search on it before but my great-granfather's name is not on the list. I also do not know his data of birth.
