Stretcher bears scissors

[Male VAD]

Does any one know what a pair of "Stretcher bears scissors looked like ?

I have read a couple of times of Dressing station MO's having them sent out and then giving them to their bears

 

Any info would be great

I have no expert knowledge on the subject but I remember watching an old film clip of a soldier being bandaged on the

battlefield ( Passchendaele ?) by a chap ( could have been a bearer ) who was smoking a cigarette . Why I remember

this particular bit of film was because he was using a pair of scissors which reminded me of the Post Office scissors

which I used at work . Having said that I did have a quick look on the net and on the IWM site was a film of a man being

bandaged at an aid post and the scissors being used just looked like ordinary smallish silver ones . I have put a picture

up of a pair of P.O scissors .
