MaureenE Posted 24 March , 2018 Share Posted 24 March , 2018 I went to check a reference from a digitised article from Reveille Magazine of The Returned and Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch) and received the following statement "This site was taken offline in March 2018. We apologise for the inconvenience. For further information contact ....." I haven't tried this contact yet. The RLS website has this page about the Magazine, which still gives a link to the online magazines, which were introduced in 2016, and says nothing about the site being closed. http://rslnsw.org.au/news/reveille Does anyone have any further information? There were some interesting personal accounts relating to WW1 published post WW1. Cheers Maureen
b3rn Posted 3 July , 2019 Share Posted 3 July , 2019 I was looking for this today. What a pity, as it was a fantastic resource. Is it now hidden behind a paywall?
MaureenE Posted 3 July , 2019 Author Share Posted 3 July , 2019 I wasn't able to find out any information at all. I haven't heard that it is behind a paywall. The digitised copies of Reveille just seem to have vanished The original site , now archived was https://web.archive.org/web/20160913213831/http://reveille.dlconsulting.com/ which perhaps was connected with https://veridiansoftware.com (DL Consulting). It was one of the worst digital books readers I have seen, but there was some interesting content, so it is a pity the digitised magazines just seem to have vanished. I wonder if it was the cost of maintaining the website that led to its closure? Cheers Maureen
