Ronan McGreevy Posted 16 March , 2018 Share Posted 16 March , 2018 Hi guys, An unusual request - I am leading a tour party to the Western Front next week. I have two days where I am looking to take a party of 24 people around. i am looking for a restaurant that is open in Noeux-les-Mines on Monday, Monday 26th. Does anybody have a recommendation? In a lot of cases restaurants in France don't open on a Monday so I am slightly worried in that regard. Also, we are visiting the Somme on the Tuesday. Any recommendations for lunch. Thanks in advance. Ronan McGreevy
jonbem Posted 17 March , 2018 Share Posted 17 March , 2018 Excuse me for saying but as a tour leader I would have thought of a little more forward planning!

thetrenchrat22 Posted 17 March , 2018 Share Posted 17 March , 2018 Bethune has a good number of restaurants and bars in the main square.
Hedley Malloch Posted 17 March , 2018 Share Posted 17 March , 2018 Ronan, you might struggle to find anywhere open on a Monday afternoon. I would build your day around places that are open for lunch and mould your history around them. Le Bouchot in Arras is open Monday lunch and good. It offers three courses for €16. squirrel Posted 19 March , 2018 Share Posted 19 March , 2018 Looks like the one - the brewery is run by restaurant owner's brother IIRC.
The Prussian Posted 19 March , 2018 Share Posted 19 March , 2018 Hello! Try this one: http://restoroutier.free.fr/ It´s a list of lorry driver restaurants in France and parts of Europe. Mostly no hotels but simple and quiete cheap traditionally food. As an ex-international lorry driver I tried out a lot of those restaurants. A lot of them spreak english. Sometimes you find jewels like this in the south (Sète at the mediterranean sea)
