Excuse my ignorance but what is an OG1?

Also is there any requirement to record what you find and where you find it? For example the Devonshire badge is a good indicator that the regiment were probably at that location. Any way great finds Trenchtrotter thanks for sharing.

OG1 was a mojor Trench line running around the rear of Pozieres. Stood for Old German 1. Part of their major 2nd line of defence on Somme.

The Devonshire badge is from 2nd Battalion from location and from 1/7/16.
