Hedley Malloch Posted 13 November , 2002 Share Posted 13 November , 2002 One of the most interesting war memorials in the UK was erected by the Fell and Rock Climbers' Club on the top of Great Gable (2900+ feet high), in the Lake District, to their members killed in the Great War. There is a service held on top of the mountain each Remembrance Sunday.
