horrocks Posted 17 May , 2018 Author Share Posted 17 May , 2018 (edited) A couple of images take this week which will be of interest to anyone who has ever wondered as to the foundations that are required to keep these vast structures upright. The first shows the undercroft of the turbine adjacent - if that isn't an understatement - to the soon to be dwarfed Guards Memorial, the second that which lies opposite and just behind the Quadrilateral, just out of frame on the right hand side. The car offers a further reference as to the scale, which in the first example particularly is slightly exaggerated by the use of a wide angle lens, necessary to fit everything in! mjollnir, a most interesting and informative post.
