The National Gallery of Scotland are working their way through scanning 205 Stereoscopic photos published by "Realistic Travels", some but not all are available to view online in high definition. The rest to follow in time presumably.

Great scans!

Are these cards blank on the back? The Underwood and Underwood/Keystone slides have very detailed descriptions and commentary.

Would you mind sharing some info on how you scanned the cards (res/format etc)  I have a fairly good selection of these and have been contemplating scanning or photographing them. One issue is the curvature which is more marked on the Underwood and Underwood/Keystone cards than others.

Thanks Chris and Derek. From memory they were blank at the rear. The only description was to the front.

Curvature was overcome by placing an Oxford dictionary directly on top of the card! The lid of the scanner wasn't heavy enough.

600 dpi TIFF scanned on an Epson GT20000 flatbed. The TIFFs are processed by the archival system to create high quality JPG and thumbnail for public access.

The original TIFF is available by contacting the library directly.

The first one, of the Lille Gate, seems to have been taken from the viewpoint of a man with eyes 15ft apart.
