John(txic) Posted 23 February , 2018 Share Posted 23 February , 2018 Daniel Wright is "mine". Buried in Dudley Borough Cemetery and on Dudley's war memorial, this poor lad was shot through the spine and crippled; he did not long survive discharge from the Army. chrisharley9 Posted 26 February , 2018 Share Posted 26 February , 2018 Hello John, Did you supply the burial details to CWGC? Chris
John(txic) Posted 27 February , 2018 Share Posted 27 February , 2018 Yes, Chris. I was very lucky as his papers survived, as does his grave in Dudley Cemetery. Also, the Dudley Herald reported his death and subsequent funeral. However, I still had to provide a Death Certificate - but as they're only 6 quid a pop now, that wasn't an issue. BTW there's about half a dozen other Dudley lads on our memorial who aren't recognised by CWGC, so I'll be submitting a few more in the future.
