The war diary for the two days, 18th and 19th June reads, verbatim:- 18th. Battalion in Right Subsection, Left Sector Front Line. - Quiet Day. 19th. at 12.45 a.m. "A" Coy. Attacked and captured LUG FARM with heavy Artillery barrage. 2 Machine Guns and 1 wounded Bosche were taken. 2/Lieut. A. J. Ward killed. Casualties 1 O.R. killed 40 wounded. "B" Coy. relieved "A" Coy. in Front Line at night. Lieut. Col. Weldon to Hospital. Major J. R. Frend D.S.O. in Command. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
