That ties in with the minimum value of a single MM being consistent with the current price of a gold sovereign over time.

Still the case today allowing for inflation (2020 being the cheapest available sovereign):

Of course other factors such as unit/action/condition affect the price of a particular medal. This would only be a baseline guide.

The minimum value of the BWM would equate to the current price of one ounce of silver:
