Hi all I ask this as my knowledge is limited would 3784 SPR W E REEVES R.E   be  low number , I would presume early enlistment as opposed to pre war enlistment ? Can anyone confirm please , would I also be correct in assuming he would have been re-numbered

He was a territorial with 1st South Midland Field Company. In 1917 the TF was renumbered and he received the number 494935 and the Company became 474 (South Midland)Field Company.
