Remembered Today:

Headon with Upton (Notts) Memorial

Whilst visiting a family grave at Headon this morning, I found this memorial in the church.  I can't recall seeing another example of where the order of precedence depended on whether or not the person was awarded the 1914 or 1915 Star.  Presumably, those with no Star shown just received the standard British War and Victory medals (if they were entitled to them).  I wonder who designed the memorial and what the thinking was behind the order in which they were placed.
