Borden Battery Posted 1 January , 2005 Share Posted 1 January , 2005 I have found a postcard in my late Grandfather's effects with the notation: "Trooper, 1st King's Dragoon Guards". A second notation "Knight" may refer to the photographer/studio. The trooper is on horse with Enfield (?) rifle at the ready. He is wearing a peakless hat with chin-strap similar to a more current naval cap. A bandolier ammunition belt is across his chest. There is no date on the postcard. If any interest in a JPEG file, please advise.
