Bob Chandler Posted 15 January , 2018 Share Posted 15 January , 2018 Afternoon all, In early March we’ll be in this area to visit a friend’s relative’s grave at Couin British Cemetery and have a look round Hebuterne where the relative was in the line. We’d like to find a local bar or café to visit while we’re there, ideally in the area between these villages as this is the area he’d have known, can anyone with a knowledge of the area recommend one? We’ve not had much luck finding one so far. Cheers, Bob
Admin Michelle Young Posted 15 January , 2018 Admin Share Posted 15 January , 2018 There's a bar in Hebuterne itself opposite the green. Last time we were there was 2 1/2 years ago, we got a beer in there. I don't recall them doing food . Michelle
Bob Chandler Posted 20 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2018 Thanks Michelle. Looks like it might be a petrol station now but we’ll check it out. There’s always Albert I suppose.
paul swann Posted 20 January , 2018 Share Posted 20 January , 2018 Last year it seemed to be a bit of a ghost town
trenchtrotter Posted 21 January , 2018 Share Posted 21 January , 2018 The bar in Hebuterne also does fuel. Cafe des Sports. Its open six days a week and I cannot recall which day it closes. There is also the Hotel du Nord in Fonquevillers. This does food. I believe there is a Cafe / bar in Puisieux also. Chez Fred?
