AndyC1085 Posted 11 January , 2018 Posted 11 January , 2018 I have been informed by a family member, that it is possible that my Great Uncle met his future wife whilst either being treated in the UK for a wound gained at Gallipoli, or whilst he was doing his officer training at Tenby (1916). There is a definite link between him and her being in Pembrokeshire in 1915/16. However, the woman in question would have been 14/15 at the time! It is not known if she was an Army nurse, or civilian nurse. I have no idea where to start on finding nursing records for that period. Any pointers?

AndyC1085 Posted 25 January , 2018 Author Posted 25 January , 2018 Pembrokeshire Council were very helpful in giving me some information on the school that my relative went to. Turns out she went to school there because her aunt and great uncle were teachers there! Still need to find out if she was ever a nurse, but at least I now know roughly why she was in the area.
seaJane Posted 25 January , 2018 Posted 25 January , 2018 Maybe the Royal College of Nursing can help? https://www.rcn.org.uk/library/services/family-history
