MaureenE Posted 7 January , 2018 Posted 7 January , 2018 I came across the following when looking for something else. It is the endnotes from an unknown book by an unknown author, but has lots of references to publications by, or about, clergy in the Great War. https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/bbm%3A978-0-230-29765-4%2F1.pdf Cheers Maureen
nigelcave Posted 7 January , 2018 Posted 7 January , 2018 Very useful and many thanks for posting itl. I would be interesting to pin down the title of this admirable looking tome.
keithmroberts Posted 7 January , 2018 Posted 7 January , 2018 Excellent indeed. I am shortly going to be working through the wartime correspondence of an Anglican chaplain and have noted a couple of titles that I shall have to track down. The list is from a relatively recent publication as it includes references to at least one book published in 2007 according to Amazon..
Kath Posted 7 January , 2018 Posted 7 January , 2018 One of these? The Anglican Clergy-in-Uniform? https://link.springer.com/search?query=clergy+great+war Kath.
helpjpl Posted 7 January , 2018 Posted 7 January , 2018 I compared 'Notes' page 254 and the book is - Faith Under Fire: Anglican Army Chaplains and the Great War: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=CeiFDAAAQBAJ&pg=PA263&lpg=PA263&dq=The+Challenge,+Neville+Talbot&source=bl&ots=76dsKVOJPQ&sig=DVRSqnLOolR_6YEaNLke2kYYAsk&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiRxtbU2sXYAhXKmLQKHXdrDXAQ6AEIaDAO#v=onepage&q&f=false JP

keithfazzani Posted 7 January , 2018 Posted 7 January , 2018 May I mention Greater Love by Revd David Youngson.
