Gareth Davies Posted 4 January , 2018 Posted 4 January , 2018 8 Aug - 11 Nov. My maths makes it 96. Where am I going wrong?
thetrenchrat22 Posted 4 January , 2018 Posted 4 January , 2018 11/11/1918 - 100 = 03/08/1918 is from a date calculator via google
Ron Clifton Posted 4 January , 2018 Posted 4 January , 2018 There is nothing wrong with your arithmetic, Gareth. "Hundred Days" echoes the similar description of Napoleon's journey from Elba to Waterloo, and the Hundred Years' War lasted a good deal longer than that. There were more than six hundred cavalrymen involved in the Charge of the Light Brigade. It is simply a populist use of a more catchy "tag". Journalists and other literary folk are not noted for their attention to exact mathematical detail! Ron
Doctord84 Posted 4 January , 2018 Posted 4 January , 2018 Into the valley of death rode the 673 just doesn't scan very well!
