Ridulous, why would anyone be offended?! No doubt someone will take offence and take to public media to complain and moan but I say sod them. They wouldn't be able to vote or moan if it wasnt for the generations before us making their sacrifices.

It would not surprise me if you are correct. It would take a brave person to come out and say they were offended. What would their argument be? If these 'offended' people do exist then as per my first reply 'sod em'! I'm offended that they are offended! Ha fun and games

A less politically charged thread title detailing what events the UK will commemorate based on your second link is a good idea. This thread as it stands now is only likely to generate a lot of off topic posts so I am locking it.
