Bean tool Posted 4 January , 2018 Share Posted 4 January , 2018 Ridulous, why would anyone be offended?! No doubt someone will take offence and take to public media to complain and moan but I say sod them. They wouldn't be able to vote or moan if it wasnt for the generations before us making their sacrifices. Dan
TGM Posted 4 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 4 January , 2018 (edited) My question entirely. Perhaps it is a ploy to save money? Edited 4 January , 2018 by TGM
Bean tool Posted 4 January , 2018 Share Posted 4 January , 2018 It would not surprise me if you are correct. It would take a brave person to come out and say they were offended. What would their argument be? If these 'offended' people do exist then as per my first reply 'sod em'! I'm offended that they are offended! TGM Posted 4 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 4 January , 2018 Not that I've seen. Only this and: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/first-world-war-centenary-100-years-1918-2018-events-mark-ww1-a8135856.html
Admin spof Posted 4 January , 2018 Admin Share Posted 4 January , 2018 Thanks TGM. A less politically charged thread title detailing what events the UK will commemorate based on your second link is a good idea. This thread as it stands now is only likely to generate a lot of off topic posts so I am locking it. Glen GWF Admin Team
