steve fuller Posted 31 December , 2004 Share Posted 31 December , 2004 Are you looking for a WW1 Pvt Alison? (If so, the 9 Samuel Glasses' MIC's are here: http://www.documentsonline.nationalarchive...1&resultcount=9 ). Without knowing more detail & if it is his WW1 service you want, first thought is that Pte 2002 of the Lanc Fusiliers looks interesting???? Good luck Steve

CROONAERT Posted 31 December , 2004 Share Posted 31 December , 2004 In 1881, the 108th (of Foot) Regiment became the Inniskilling Fusiliers. Does this help any? dave.

Sounds like a potential connection to me Dave. Irish born, in that regmnt ...?? In which case Alison, ignore the Lancs man for the time being & see : http://www.documentsonline.nationalarchive...=1&mediaarray=* 2 Samuel glasses in Royal Irish regiments also look promising ... Would imagine it will be a case of narrowing them down more somehow. Do you know where he lived in 1914, or even 1901 praps?
CROONAERT Posted 31 December , 2004 Share Posted 31 December , 2004 2 Samuel glasses in Royal Irish regiments look more promising. ...though, as he was a soldier in 1881, I think he'd be a tad too old for WW1. I'd forget this path if I were you. dave.
