Help Needed 10th Cyclist Battalion

Can anybody tell me which Division the X (10th) Cyclist Batt we’re in?

 

looking at Thomas Alfred Miles

Private 16975

born1893, Withernsea 

DFW 12th June 1917. 

 

Just looking to get the Battalion diary for the 11 th and 12th June 1917

It was part of the Corps Troops of X Corps, and not a division.

Charles thanks I think. Don’t get what you are saying but how will I find the Regimental, Divisional or Battalion Diaries? On Ancestry?

WO 95/874 is the relevant war diary reference - 10 Corps Troops.

 

The section you want is WO 95/874/3 if you are going to use NA.

Hi,

 

Ancestry took their 'cut' of diaries at the divisional level (and below), so as corps troops you won't find it on their site. Phil's linked to it at the National Archives, but it would cost £3.50.

Thanks for that. I can find stuff in the Cyclist Divisions.

eg first one out of loads is 14th Division, 2 Divisional Cyclist Company 

 

could i find his on Ancestry?
