archivist Posted 31 December , 2017 Posted 31 December , 2017 Would anyone know what the location of the 48th Field Ambulance was in Novemer 1918? Many thanks.

There's quite a lot of info on the Abbey/Convent online https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Cecilia's_Abbey,_Solesmes War diary 48 FA at TNA http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C7354076 Ken Edited 1 January , 2018 by kenf48
archivist Posted 4 January , 2018 Author Posted 4 January , 2018 Dear Ken i am so grateful to you for that information. I hope to visit the area with my two brothers on the anniversary of my grandfather's wounding and it will be excellent indeed to know where the Field Ambulance that treated him was. Many thanks again and very kind regards.
