hmsk212 Posted 29 December , 2017 Posted 29 December , 2017 (edited) Hi, I have come across an incident whilst carrying out some RAF research. On Saturday 3rd May 1919 Aircraftman 2nd Class 248912 Charles William Chamberlain Taylor RAF was " Shot by a member of the Guard ". He died before he reached Hospital. Charles joined the RNAS on 31st January 1918 as Boy Mechanic F48912 transferring to the RAF on 1st April 1918 just a couple of weeks after his 18th birthday. He served with 78 Squadron at Sutton Farm, Hornchurch and it was here that the incident took place. Does anyone have more information as to the circumstances behind his death ? Charles is buried in Lugwardine ( St Peter ) Churchyard Extension in Herefordshire not far from his family home. Steve Edited 29 December , 2017 by hmsk212
