trajan Posted 26 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 26 January , 2018 (edited) An idle few minutes (class / course registrations today - ) allowed to find this one also of interest at the same junction, opposite the hotel / restaurant as in the last post (this one appeared on Google from: https://s3.amazonaws.com/gs-geo-images/d6156bd2-c8ea-43b1-9c46-58f906ef3121_l.jpg - shown here for reference), plus Egbert has pointed me towards an appropriate reference work (thanks again!) - Jürgen Ehret, Kriegsbahnen im Oberelsass 1914-1918 (2014). egbert Posted 26 January , 2018 Share Posted 26 January , 2018 (edited) Julian, your last picture shows the terminal station from electric tramway Türkheim-Drei Ähren. Here is a logistic reloading site from terminal to Drei Ähren town center which is located at the church, circled red in my image. From the downtown location (which is at 670m alt already!), the Feldbahn RR leads directly to the front at Barrenkopf/Schratzmännele/Lingekopf. trajan Posted 28 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 28 January , 2018 (edited) Thanks Egbert! Onto page 07 recto - as before general photographs of the page, and scanned versions of the images thereon. I am aware my photography and scanning skills leave much to be desired, but I will try to find a better scanner in the university... trajan Posted 28 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 28 January , 2018 (edited) And page 10 verso... Note on the 4th one here that the the Turkish officer on the left has a 'Gallpoili Star' (for which you did not have to be at Gallipoli as it was the Turkish equvalnt of the EK), and also braiding on his epaualttes. The Turkish officer on the right has no 'Star' and less brading on his shoulder, although he looks older. michaeldr Posted 28 January , 2018 Share Posted 28 January , 2018 It's interesting that the older officer has a darker collar on his great-coat (perhaps indicating General Staff) while his service jacket collar seems to be lighter and more like his colleague's (perhaps indicating Engineer or Railway Troops)
