I have been contacted by a friend who is clearing out her Mother's house. She has come across a postcard addressed to

2AM Coyle

Regt No. 29611

Tent No. 21 J Sect

R. Flying Corps Depot

Farnborough

Hants

I think that means that hw was a Second Class Air Mechanic, based the  depot in Farnborough.

I have checked CWGC, and he doesn't seem to have died, but she would like to know who this man was, and for any more info.

I have no idea of how to research aviators, even those who remained on the ground, and so would appreciate some help.

Lest my manners desert me, can I say thanks to anyone who replies in advance.
