bruce Posted 19 December , 2017 Posted 19 December , 2017 I have been contacted by a friend who is clearing out her Mother's house. She has come across a postcard addressed to 2AM Coyle Regt No. 29611 Tent No. 21 J Sect R. Flying Corps Depot Farnborough Hants I think that means that hw was a Second Class Air Mechanic, based the depot in Farnborough. I have checked CWGC, and he doesn't seem to have died, but she would like to know who this man was, and for any more info. I have no idea of how to research aviators, even those who remained on the ground, and so would appreciate some help. Lest my manners desert me, can I say thanks to anyone who replies in advance. Bruce
IPT Posted 19 December , 2017 Posted 19 December , 2017 He seems to have been Robert Coyle, born 1877. I haven't got FMP at the moment, but he has papers on there - https://search.findmypast.co.uk/search/united-kingdom-records?lastname=coyle&keywords=29611
