Remembered Today:

RAF recruit and home service?

Morning all,

would anyone be able to decipher the movements section of this RAF service record after the 272 sqn?  He seems to have been up in Scotland going by the Luce bay station and the gen I can find on 272sqn . Also in the promotions section would the writing after the rank be something to do with his trade group?

thanks

Hi,

You may get more joy with this request if you post it in the " War in the Air " Section. It would appear that he served at No 6 Aircraft Acceptance Park in Renfrew. There is a reference to "Equip & Person Dept " which I assume was the Equipment & Personnel Department. He finally ended up at the Dispersal Centre in Oswestry
