£rd Battalion Monmouthshire Regt.

Following on from March 1915 the War Diary for the 3rd Battalion Monmouthshire Regt (WO95/2274/4) we are presented with a potted history of the Battalion during its exploits during 2nd Ypres.  Two questions spring to mind: 1. Why is it here in the middle of the War Diary? and, 2.  Who is the author?  By the way page 13 is missing from the 22 page document.  Does page 13 still exist, and if so where?

Try 3rd Battalion!!!! Whoops.

I was going to suggest that it was superstition, but there is clearly a missing page 13.  They've popped all sorts in there, haven't they? A speech, photographs...

By the way, if anyone is ever looking for a contemporary photograph of Shell Trap/Mousetrap Farm, there's one in there.
