JRMiddlesex Posted 24 September , 2017 Share Posted 24 September , 2017 Does anyone know anything about the 13th artillery regiment that served in the French army during the Great War?
Ron Clifton Posted 24 September , 2017 Share Posted 24 September , 2017 (edited) Not very much, I'm afraid, but the regiment had four Groupes, each of three batteries. In August 1914 the first three Groupes were in 19 Artillery Brigade, part of the garrison of Paris, and the fourth Groupe was in 1st Cavalry Division. On mobilisation the first three Groupes joined 10th Infantry Division. I cannot trace any changes in depolyments of these units, but my sources on the French Army are scant!
