James A Pratt III Posted 4 September , 2017 Share Posted 4 September , 2017 100 years ago on this date 4 Sep 1917 the AEF had its first KIAs 1st LT William Fitzsimons and 3 Pvts of Base Hospital No 5 were killed in a German air raid that night. It looks like the offending German air unit was most likely a Bombengeswader either 1 or 4 both of which flew night raids earlier this year on the British rear area.
