I seem to recollect that somewhere someone has a list of the authors contributing to The Naval Review

and I wonder if we can identify the writer (and his ship) of

The Naval Review Vol.III, (1915) Issue 4, page 653>

an article titled

A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE LANDING OF THE AUSTRALIANS AT GABA T E P E ,

D A R D A N E L L E S , O N S U N D A Y , 25 APRIL,1915.

Thanks in advance for any help here

Michael

The author of the account is I.A.S.Hutton.

There is a good list of identified authors in "The Naval Review" in:

Mahan is not enough : the proceedings of a conference on the works of Sir Julian Corbett and Admiral Sir Herbert Richmond

edited by James Goldrick and John B.Hutendorf and published , Newport, Rhode Island, Naval War College Press,1993.  Appendix C is Goldrick (ed.)  "Author List for "The Naval Review,1913-1930", at pp.341-385

The very good news is that the entire conference proceedings are available for nothing  at www.archive.org. and can be downloaded.

Hope that helps- helped me when I picked up a good run of "The Naval Review" as a bookseller-which I had the sense to keep for myself!!
