MikeyH Posted 18 August , 2017 Share Posted 18 August , 2017 (edited) Gerwyn, It's a 6 pounder MK111 cartridge case as you know, CF for cordite or charge filled, lot number 25, the anchor is not indicative of naval use, most likely an inspectors mark. K possibly Kynoch of Birmingham, very odd that it does not seem to carry a date stamp, unless 219 is Feb 1919? But normally would be stamped:- 2 19, i.e. with a gap between month and year. Mike. pioneecorps Posted 18 August , 2017 Author Share Posted 18 August , 2017 Thank you for your information Mike, and like you, I thought it was strange not to see a date stamp, yes I also read it as 21 9, I will describe it has a 1919 British 6 Pounder MK111 Cartridge case.
