Hello and thanks for looking. Can anyone say where the nearest Avanced Dressing Station to Marengo House/Farm would be February 1917 please?

Alternatively the best place to seek the info. Thanks.

Hi,

If for example you are looking at a specific man and you can determine his unit, and then their division, I'd tend to look at the diary for the ADMS for that division, and those associated with the Field Ambulances in that division. From what I've read it seems quite common to say where the ADSs were (either by place name, or map reference) and who was responsible for staffing them. It might be though that through circumstance, a man was evacuated through the arrangements of another division.

Regards

Chris

Hard to know which elements were in the vicinity, but reading the notes in CWGC for BARD FARM shows that Marengo had a cemetery which was later concentrated into Bard Farm, which was a few hundred metres away, and had medical facilities.
