Hello
I am seeking any information relating to the career of Lt Col Charles Christopher Heywood who served for a number of years with the 2 Vol Bn, then with the 6 Bn Manchester Regiment prior to the War, and as Temp Lt Col with the 2/9 Bn Manchester Regiment in the Great War before transferring to the Royal Army Medical Corps. I would be most grateful for any information, particularly his service with the Manchester Regiment. Thanks.
Regards
Ron

http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C703265

is his file at Kew, but not yet digital.

Medal Index Card shows he only served in France with RAMC as a Major, landing on 24.3.1918.

Applied for medals in 1922 from "Earnscliffe", Alderley Edge, having previously lived at 15 Cross Street, Manchester.

Hello

Just hoping that a Manchester Regiment specialist might be able to help me out with this request, or provide any pointers regarding further research please. Thanks.

Regards

Ron
