Ken Lees Posted 10 July , 2017 Share Posted 10 July , 2017 I visited the Vis-en-Artois Memorial to the Missing and Cemetery yesterday. It was remarkable how many men buried there had previously received gallantry awards. Indicative, I suppose of the losses of experienced men at this late stage of the war. Due to difficulty with my usual image hosting site (Photobucket.com) I have posted the images on Facebook. For those who have access and are interested, the link is https://www.facebook.com/WesternFrontTours/ Please note, that while I earn my living as a tour guide this page is not a blatant advert, it is for me to share Great War material that might be of interest to others. It keeps it off my 'ordinary' Facebook page as many of my 'friends' have no interest in WW1.
