Guest Posted 2 July , 2017 Share Posted 2 July , 2017 I have my grandfather's (British) World War 1 medals awarding at the end of the war. I have clean the silver one but don't know how to clean the bronze?! one. I would like to present them to my father on his 90th Birthday. Can you give me recommendation for cleaning it. depaor01 Posted 2 July , 2017 Share Posted 2 July , 2017 Welcome to the forum Helen. As you've probably found out by now, many here including myself recommend leaving alone. The patina took a long time to get established. Dave
dgibson150 Posted 2 July , 2017 Share Posted 2 July , 2017 (edited) My experience here. Probably not the same medal, but food for thought. David Edited 2 July , 2017 by dgibson150 Bronze medal may be a 14/15 Star
