Remembered Today:

Burial location map request

Recommended Posts

Having seen several post war Grave Registration Unit maps of the Western Front I can’t appear to find one that covers the area around Langemarck. The squares that interest me are U22, 23, 28, and 29.  Any help will be greatly appreciated,

cheers

Maps from the so called Body Density series and those associated with burials are often marked or named with Lt. Col. A.A. Messer or Sir Herbert Ellissen, both key figures in what became the CWGC. In this combined series of 122 maps, there are 2 versions of sheet 62B but neither show any mark-up in square S by either Messer or Ellissen.

Are these map available online or are they a special purchase such as part of the Linesman CD?
