Remembered Today:

Wilfred Mutimer, 11th Battalion Suffolk Regiment

Recommended Posts

On the 28th April 1917, in a field just outside the village of Roeux, near Arras in northern France, 103 men from the Suffolk Regiment 11th Battalion died in a raid on German lines.
One of them was a young man aged just 21, my grandfather's brother - Wilfred Mutimer.
To the Great Uncle who I would never know, but to whom we owe so much. You are not forgotten.
