DaveC1903 Posted 24 March , 2017 Share Posted 24 March , 2017 I made my first visit to the Western Front battlefields recently. I saw this item lying by the side of a road between Guillemont Farm and The Knoll, in the approximate location of Lone Tree Trench. I think it's part of an entrenching tool. Can anyone confirm or correctly identify it? Thanks in advance.

trajan Posted 25 March , 2017 Share Posted 25 March , 2017 Need to know its size really, but from the shape it could be a German one.

genegwf Posted 25 March , 2017 Share Posted 25 March , 2017 Could it be the remains of a German entrenching tool? Gene
