River97 Posted 4 March , 2017 Share Posted 4 March , 2017 Rest in peace, gone and not forgotten. I have visited the grave of Elizabeth McGregor, shortly after I put her forward. She is buried amongst her boys who she nursed after they contracted an infectious disease and died on North Head, Sydney. It is a small cemetery with only a central plaque commemorating those service members who are buried there. Elizabeth and a fellow nurse who died, Annie Egan, have been mentioned and written about quite often and the history of the Quarantine Station is well known. Elizabeth just got missed, nobody noticed her service records. It is such a privilege and an honour to bring this special lady in from the cold and give her the recognition she so dearly deserves. Cheers, Andy.
