Evac Hospital #26

26 General Hospital was in Etaples June 1915 - July 1919. Can't be 26 Stationary Hospital as this did not operate in France.


There is a diary available for £3.45 which covers 1915 June - 1917 Dec.


It will only give daily figures for admissions and discharges. At best you may find which Ambulance Train or Motor Ambulance Convoy brought men in or or took them out again.

Yes, this was a US evacuation hospital. His service record card reads "Evac Hosp #26 MD to Disch" I found it included in a list of hospitals but it didn't give a location. I know it was somewhere in France by the family stories and postcards he sent grandma.
