All are temporarily commemorated in the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance GILTINAN, Gertrude May Nurse Voluntary Aid Detachment Died 19.11.18 Age 29 HODGE, Dorothy Member Voluntary Aid Detachment Died 17.09.18 Age 23 PEARCE, Lilian Norah Member Voluntary Aid Detachment Died 19.11.18 Age 21 PRIOR, Henry (served as KEARY) Corporal G/1139 2 Garrison Bn, Royal Irish Fusiliers Died 15.07.18 Age 45 The following were all labourers of the Chinese Labour Corps who died at sea en route to/from Europe CHANG YU 9604 Died 21.04.17 Age 30 CHAO FU CH’UNG 20854 Died 16.06.17 Age 30 CH’EN HUNG K’UEI 11348 Died 18.04.17 Age 24 HUANG I CHUN 32121 Died 22.10.19 TU TE SHENG 20375 Died 17.06.17 Age 30 WANG CHING HO 20562 Died 12.06.17 Age 34 NOT FORGOTTEN The above were In From the Cold Project cases. - Nurse Giltinan died of influenza (Volunteer: Jim Strawbridge) - Member Hodge died of pneumonia (Volunteer: Jim Strawbridge) - Member Pearce died of pneumonia (Volunteer: Chris Harley) - Cpl Prior died post-discharge of heart disease (Volunteer: Mark Duffy) Chinese Labour Corps Labourers (Volunteer: Gregory James) - Chang Yu died of pneumonia - Chao Fu Ch’ung died of dysentery - Ch’en Hung K’uei died of dysentery - Huang I Chun died of a gastric ulcer - Tu Te Sheng died of heart disease - Wang Ching Ho died of dysentery Edited 27 January , 2017 by Terry Denham Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Grave Reference: St. Paul's. JD. 38. Cemetery: GLASNEVIN (OR PROSPECT) CEMETERY Additional Information: (Served as KEARY, H). Husband of Mary Prior, of Dublin. N.B. Recent research has shown that Corporal Prior is buried here. The Commission is in the process of producing a headstone to mark his grave. Commemoration Moved From UK BOR.
