List of Arrivals at Gloucestershire Red Cross Hospitals

I am attempting to compile a list of servicemen who were admitted to various Gloucestershire Red Cross Hospitals by using the lists published in the local newspapers

I know that the list will be incomplete and that sometimes the information printed in the papers was inaccurate. A few batches include service numbers and with these I am attempting to check the details, add to and amend the entries as appropriate.

Below is one group of arrivals, those with service numbers highlighted in yellow I have managed to confirm as correct (and add forename details where initials were only recorded.)

I wonder if anyone could have a look for those men whose service numbers are highlighted in red, who I cannot find or am not sure of (different service number, same regt. for example)

Thanks for any help

Dave

Simon,

Thanks for the details I will update my database, sometimes it just needs another pair of eyes to spot these men.

Noticed your interests and just wondered if this man is known to you

Struggling to find Joseph Carr - one of the facts must be wrong...

I think he will be Joseph T Cave 16407 Hampshire Regiment, afterwards 641168 Labour Corps.

Stuart,

Thanks for the info that it may be CAVE and not CARR, I will have a look for more on Cave to see if anything else can link him to being in Cheltenham.

The newspaper entry is certainly CARR as you can see below.
