dink999 Posted 19 January , 2017 Share Posted 19 January , 2017 I am attempting to compile a list of servicemen who were admitted to various Gloucestershire Red Cross Hospitals by using the lists published in the local newspapers I know that the list will be incomplete and that sometimes the information printed in the papers was inaccurate. A few batches include service numbers and with these I am attempting to check the details, add to and amend the entries as appropriate. Below is one group of arrivals, those with service numbers highlighted in yellow I have managed to confirm as correct (and add forename details where initials were only recorded.) I wonder if anyone could have a look for those men whose service numbers are highlighted in red, who I cannot find or am not sure of (different service number, same regt. for example) Thanks for any help Dave

PPCLI Posted 20 January , 2017 Share Posted 20 January , 2017 I think he will be Joseph T Cave 16407 Hampshire Regiment, afterwards 641168 Labour Corps. Stuart
dink999 Posted 20 January , 2017 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2017 Stuart, Thanks for the info that it may be CAVE and not CARR, I will have a look for more on Cave to see if anything else can link him to being in Cheltenham. The newspaper entry is certainly CARR as you can see below. Dave
