Set of Stereoscopic Images digitised

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just digitised and loaded these to our Digital Archive. Some great images in this set covering many seldom seen theatres of war. Some look staged, some very real indeed.

Something for everyone!

Some graphic images.

Of course for the full effect they should be seen with a stereoscopic viewer.

Absolutely excellent Dave, as you say, something of interest for all. Now where am I going to get a stereoscopic viewer? I don't think I've used one since college and that is a depressingly long time ago.

Pete.

Thanks Pete,

Here you go:

I bought one from the site to view them and it works a charm. Apparently Brian May is a big fan of stereo views and is involved with the design.

I unfortunately have no connection with Brian May or the company!

Thanks for the feedback all,

Dave

The complete service Dave, I'm overwhelmed, thank you. There is a kind of irony in that I saw Brian May with Queen just before 'Seven Seas of Rhye' charted about 40 odd years ago. Now I'm looking to buy a stereoscopic viewer which he has designed, for WW1 photographs . I don't know if that says more about him or me.

Pete.

That's all great stuff and some of the many advantages of getting old. Saw Queen at Live Aid in 85. The viewer opens up new avenues for collecting. Be warned!
