Recent research has shown that Lance Corporal Campbell is buried here. The Commission is in the process of erecting a new war pattern headstone to mark his grave.

ALFRED GARBUTT (above)

Alfred was not the only member of his family to die in the Great War. His brother, James Reston Gardiner Garbutt of the RAMC (MBCHB Aberdeen 1911) was killed on 1/12/1915 and is buried at Vermelles. The brothers are commemorated on the family memorial in the Allenvale Cemetery, Aberdeen.
