Advice on Brighton newspapers - anyone physically researched them?

Hi,

Has anyone physically searched / looked at the Brighton area newspapers from 1914/1915 please - am looking for guidance on which one reported the most detail on units stationed locally / letters home, etc.

I am looking into the home service element of a battalion based in and around Shoreham / Brighton 1914/1915 as details are sparse and I would like to correct it (if possible!).

Many thanks

The County Record Office (The Keep) is running a First World War project which includes newspaper digitisation, see http://www.eastsussexww1.org.uk/newspaper-portal/.  Nothing specifically Brighton mentioned there so far as I can see, but if you contact the project they will probably know.

Thanks David

I have explored FMP and the link provided, had a good chat with a librarian who did not think the digitisation would be especially quick, so have narrowed it down to the Worthing Library as begin a single place with multiple local papers from the period in question, so am eyeing up a 2 day extravaganza next year.
