Tom Wales Posted 12 November , 2016 Share Posted 12 November , 2016 I have located the WW1 medal roll index cards for Drummer Patrick Crowley of Loyal North Lancs. His service number was 7028 and he had been in Bhurtpore Barracks with the 1st battalion in 1911. The medal roll card mentions Clasp and Roses and seems to be dated 1924. Box B - 'Present Situation' states LN Lancs. I am trying to trace what happened to him. Is it reasonable to suppose he was still serving with the Loyal North Lancs in 1924? Judging by his number he would have joined 1902/3 when he was 14/15 years old. Did the Army officially take boys that young? Any pointers gratefully received Tom
